  • No, New Moon is a licensed assisted living facility, not a nursing home. We provide personal care, supervision, meals, and medication assistance for people who need help with daily living but do not require 24-hour skilled nursing.

  • Our residents are people who need some assistance with daily living but don't need skilled nursing care. Some come directly from home, others after a hospital or rehab stay. What they share is wanting a smaller setting where they're known by name.

  • New Moon is located at 24548 Calusa Blvd in Eustis, Florida, convenient to Mount Dora, Tavares, and surrounding Central Florida communities.

  • Your monthly rate is based on your accommodation, with Standard Care included. This covers assistance with daily living, medication assistance, and occasional incontinence care, along with meals, housekeeping, laundry, activities, and 24-hour supervision.

    For residents who need more extensive assistance, Enhanced Care is available for an additional monthly charge. We assess your care needs before move-in and explain the applicable care level, total monthly rate, and any one-time fees before you sign.

    Before move-in, we assess your care needs to confirm that New Moon is the right fit. This assessment does not assign a separate care-level charge. We explain your monthly rate, one-time community fee, and agreement terms before you sign, including how future rate adjustments work.

    New Moon Room rates, respite rates, and one-time fees are on our rate sheet. Ask for it and it downloads immediately.

  • No. New Moon is private pay only and does not accept Medicaid or Optional State Supplementation.

  • Rooms come fully furnished, so nothing is required. Residents are welcome to personalize their space with photographs, quilts, artwork, and meaningful keepsakes. Larger furniture pieces may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis, depending on available space and safety considerations. We’ll review any requested items together before move-in.

  • We will tell you early and honestly. Admission and continued residency at New Moon follow the criteria in Rule 59A-36.006, F.A.C. If a resident's needs exceed what we're licensed to provide, we'll begin the conversation well before it becomes urgent and help your family plan the next step.

  • Yes. We welcome and coordinate with home health, therapy, hospice, and lab services ordered by your physician. Those services are arranged through your doctor and billed separately.

  • Yes. New Moon Senior Living is licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration as an assisted living facility, License #14113, and passed its initial AHCA survey with zero deficiencies.

We offer both private rooms and a shared room in our intimate five-resident home. Each room is furnished, and residents enjoy personalized assistance, meals, housekeeping, laundry, daily activities, and 24-hour supervision within the scope of our services.
