Care & Services
At New Moon, care is never one-size fits all. Every resident receives individualized support based on her unique needs, preferences, and level of independence.
Personal Care & Supervision
At New Moon, every service has a purpose. That is to help each woman live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in a place that truly feels like home. The care outlined here reflects our commitment to personalized support and meaningful relationships.
→ Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
→ Assistance with mobility and transfers
→ Assistance with eating
→ Daily observation of general health, safety, and well-being
→ 24-hour supervision and awareness of each resident's whereabouts
→ Escort and support to meals and activities
Medication Assistance
We provide medication assistance and supervision in accordance with Rule 59A-36.008, Florida Administrative Code, and we partner with a local pharmacy for delivery, packaging, and refill coordination. Your physician's orders drive everything; we follow them and document accordingly.
Dining
Three home-cooked meals plus snacks are prepared daily in our kitchen, with menus reviewed by a registered dietitian. Our meals emphasize fresh, Mediterranean-inspired foods, including vegetables, fruit, whole grains, fish, and olive oil. Therapeutic diets are accommodated as ordered. And because nourishment is about more than food, no woman eats alone.
Daily Wellness
Gentle movement most mornings. Time outdoors. Music, conversation, cards, gardening, and whatever the women living here actually enjoy. Activities are shaped around our residents, not simply printed on a calendar weeks in advance.
Care That Stays Connected
We coordinate with your physician, pharmacy, and visiting healthcare providers for continuity of care. When your physician orders services such as home health, therapy, hospice, or laboratory care, those providers are welcome at New Moon. These services are arranged through your physician and billed separately by the provider.
When Another Level of Care Is Needed
Our first responsibility is to ensure that every resident receives the care she needs in the setting that's best suited to her health and well-being.
New Moon is a licensed Florida assisted living community, not a skilled nursing facility. If a prospective resident requires 24-hour skilled nursing care or services beyond the scope of our assisted living license, we will be honest with you from the very beginning.
Should a resident's needs change over time, we'll work closely with her family, healthcare providers, and care team to discuss the next steps and help guide a smooth transition if a higher level of care becomes necessary.
Our admission and continued residency practices follow all applicable Florida assisted living regulations.
Who lives here
New Moon is a women-only community created for women who would benefit from a little more support and a lot more connection.
Our residents are typically women who need assistance with the activities of daily living, feel safer with compassionate supervision, or have reached a point where living alone no longer feels comfortable or fulfilling. Many have been quietly affected by loneliness, the loss of a spouse, or the challenges that naturally come with aging.
Some join us directly from home. Others arrive after a hospital or rehabilitation stay, or from a larger community that simply wasn't the right fit. While every woman's journey is unique, they all share one thing in common: they deserve to be known, respected, and cared for as individuals.
