About New Moon

A Lifetime of Serving Others. One Belief: Care Should Still Feel Personal.

My name is Vivette Montas. My career has taken me through healthcare, nonprofit leadership, and real estate, but the thread connecting all of it has always been people. I'm a licensed Florida Assisted Living Administrator and Certified Nursing Assistant, and I believe exceptional care begins with truly knowing the person.

New Moon was born from a deeply personal experience. When someone I loved needed assisted living, I searched for a place that felt both professional and personal, a place that offered excellent care without sacrificing warmth, dignity, or a sense of home.

I found caring people and well-run communities. But I couldn't find the intimate, relationship-centered environment I had imagined for someone I loved.

So I created it.

New Moon is an intentionally small assisted living community where every resident is known, every family is welcomed as a partner, and every person is treated with the dignity, compassion, and respect they deserve.

The name New Moon was chosen with purpose. The new moon marks the beginning of a new cycle, a quiet moment filled with hope, renewal, and possibility. I believe this chapter of life deserves that same perspective. Moving into assisted living isn't the end of the story. It can be the beginning of one filled with comfort, connection, friendship, and peace of mind.

Today, I remain personally involved in the daily life of New Moon. As the owner and administrator, I know each resident, support each family, and work alongside our caregivers to ensure the home reflects the values on which it was founded.

New Moon is licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and passed its initial licensure survey with zero deficiencies, a standard we're committed to carrying forward in the way we operate every day.
